An arrangement for controlling the electric energy supply rate to an electroplating installation includes a positionally adjustable actuating member connected to a carrier which supports workpieces to be electroplated in an electroplating vat, and a sensor mounted on the vat and operative for detecting the extent of positional adjustment of the actuating member and generating a signal proportionate thereto. The signal is then transmitted to a source of direct electric current to be used thereat for controlling the output rate of the source. The actuating member is a setting screw which is threaded into a sleeve which, in turn, is mounted on a bracket rigidly connected to the carrier, while the sensor includes a housing rigidly mounted on a lug of the vat, and a potentiometer accommodated in the housing and having a detecting rod which extends beyond the housing and into the path of displacement of the setting screw. The housing is sealingly closed by a sealing cable connector, on the one hand, and by a bellows-shaped protective member sealingly connected to the housing and surrounding the detecting rod of the potentiometer, on the other hand. A spring urges the detecting rod toward its extended position relative to the housing. (54) DEVICE FOR ADJUSTMENT OF VOLTAGE ON GALVANIC BATH The sensor is connected to the rectifier control circuit. The actuating element 1 is made in the form of a sleeve with a thread 12, by means of which the element is fixed on the bracket 2. Inside the sleeve there is an adjusting screw 13 held by a lock nut 14. A window 15 is made in the sleeve, on which a scale 16 is applied. An adjusting plate 17 is located on the set screw and marking grooves are applied. The rod 18 with the spring 19 is connected to the potentiometer 10. The trunnion 3. is attached to the suspension for products 20. A support is installed on board the van 21. The device works as follows. Before the suspension with the product is immersed in the electroplating bath, the resistance sensor 5 placed on the bath is in the zero position, i.e. the rod 18 under the action of the spring 19 raises to the extreme upper position. When immersed in a bath, the suspension with the product on which the actuating element 1 is set to a predetermined limit by means of an adjusting screw 13, the plate 17 is lowered onto the bellows 9, compresses it touches the rod 18 and lowers it until the pin 3 is on the support 22 mounted on the bath 21. When lowering the rod 18, the resistance of the potentiometer 10 continuously changes, which reaches a predetermined value when the trunnion 3 rests on the support 22. Potentiometer 10, connected by cable to the control circuit, automatically sets the voltage (or current) setpoint corresponding to a specific size of the product. The amount of lowering of the rod 18 is set by the adjusting screw 13. The voltage (or current) value can be determined quite accurately by the width 16 above using the marking grooves on the screw 13.

Claims (6) [1] 1. A device for adjusting the voltage on electroplating baths with hangers for products, comprising a sensor and an actuator, characterized in that In order to expand its operational capabilities by infinitely variable voltage, it is equipped with a measuring probe mounted on a hanger for products that can interact with the sensor.
